Horticulture Society
The Alabama
Horticulture Society was founded in 1971. The Alabama
Horticulture Society is comprised of the individuals and
organizations who actively participate in the state’s
large-scale and fine
fruit and vegetable
production. The Alabama Horticulture
Society has
been recognized by the USDA
as a state level horticulture
society.
Who is a member?
Membership in the Alabama
Horticulture Society is by invitation only. The process
of becoming a member includes but is not limited to:
Volunteer contact. An
individual’s future interest is of major consideration in
the evaluation and selection of potential members.
Subsequent
demonstration of interest and involvement in a horticulture
related activity.
Eligibility
for membership is primarily based on community
involvement. A small number of farmers and businessmen
with a demonstrated interest in horticulture are
recognized annually as honorary members.

May 4th
